Coffee with a Codex: Book of Hours

An informal lunch or coffee time to meet virtually with Kislak curators and talk about one of the manuscripts from Penn's collections. Each week we'll feature a different manuscript and the expertise of one of our curators. Everyone is welcome to attend.

On May 23, curator Dot Porter brought out Ms. Codex 1566, an illuminated Book of hours, use of Metz, with a calendar, the Hours of the Virgin, the Penitential Psalms and Litany, and the Office of the Dead. Written in Metz, France, between 1375 and 1399. (BiblioPhilly, OPenn, Internet Archive, CWAC Recording)
