Barbara Bates Center Spring Spotlight: Sarah DiGregorio

The Barbara Bates Center for the Study of the History of Nursing annual seminar series welcomes author Sarah DiGregorio for its inaugural Spring Spotlight event. Our Spring Spotlight program brings an acclaimed author and storyteller whose work highlights the importance of history and the humanities for contemporary nursing and healthcare to Penn’s campus.

This year’s Spring Spotlight focuses on DiGregorio’s highly acclaimed book, “Taking Care: The Story of Nursing and its Power to Change Our World,” which weaves historical and contemporary storytelling together to reveal the powerful role that nurses and nursing have to play in our world.

This is a hybrid event; RSVP to attend in person or receive a link for the virtual session.
