Aegyptus Electreus

This digital collection contains pdf documents of excavation reports, philological works and museum catalogs from the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

A photograph of three ancient Egyptian objects in an exhibition case (from left to right): statue of an Egyptian god, statue of an owl, and statue of an Egyptian goddess)

In an effort to protect older books in the Museum Library's Egyptology collection, the library has purchased pdf copies of these works from Yare Egyptology and made them available for use online. Patrons can access the text and images from these files using their PennKey and password. These files can be downloaded and printed from the library's public computers for the same cost as photocopies, without damaging the original volumes in the collection. These files are also stored on CDs and arranged in binders according to call number at the Museum Library Desk.
