Kaylin supports the work of all IPC departments. She focuses particularly on batch workflows for metadata using a variety of technologies, including MARC Edit, OpenRefine, and Alma batch tools. She also works on the creation and editing of linked data, as the IPC develops new workflows in this area. Additionally, she works with the DEI & Discovery group to improve access to library materials that focus on diverse and under-represented communities. 

She has experience as a Carolina Academic Library Associate at UNC Libraries, working in metadata and repositories. She also worked as a Special Collections Cataloging Graduate Assistant & Intern, also at UNC, doing cataloging in non-English languages. Her non-library experience includes work as a Freelance Proofreader and Copy Editor, and teaching English in China as a Princeton in Asia Teaching Fellow.  

Kaylin holds a bachelor's degree from Princeton University and a Master of Science in Information Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
